It's a.....

We decided it was time to finally admit to the blogging world (although I think everyone already knows!) that Hannah will be a big sister in December. Today we found out that we are having a BOY! Time to see if we can handle TWO!

4th of July

We spent the 4th of July weekend down in Chatham. Hannah was a little worried about the weather at the start of the weekend- she and Mia got her lifejacket from the garage and put it on after all the rain we got Thursday but as luck would have it - the weather turned in our favor Friday afternoon and it turned into a beautiful weekend. In the end the lifejacket only got used on the boat - where it belongs!
Dinner on the deck - finally!

The 4th of July parade in Chatham is true Americana at heart. It goes on FOREVER - literally the parade started at 9:30 and the last float didn't pass us by until just about 10:15. It's filled with marching bands, floats of every variety and lots of creativity. My favorite "float" this year was a group of people dressed up as an American flag - complete with a flag pole and movement to mimic a flag being raised and lowered and blowing in the wind. I only wish I was that creative! Hannah loved every minute of the parade and was cheering and clapping through most of it - even when they fired a canon in front of us (proving once again how much she takes after her Dad and NOT her Mom!).

All the cousins after the parade (anybody ready for a nap?!)

Swinging with cousin Derrick during our 4th of July cookout -

Resting after a dance-a-thon with aunt Sarah on the deck. She and Tom taught Hannah all kinds of new moves this weekend - and Hannah showed them her break dancing skills and even did the worm across the deck once (Dad was so proud!).
Taking Papi's car for a drive (Hannah could be found in the garage a lot this weekend "playing" in Papi's car).... she has good taste!

Early morning activities while we waited for everyone else to be ready to hit the beach....

Intense conversations with aunt Sarah....

Yum - cupcakes.... (complete with 4th of July candles!)

Clothing was sometimes optional during the early morning swims in the "cold beverage" bucket.
