Pumpkins!

We visited a pumpkin patch at a local church in town today and Hannah got to pick out her very first pumpkin. She thoroughly enjoyed it .....

Kellogg Reunion

We had a mini-Kellogg reunion this past weekend. Our good friends the Farvers flew in from Houston, the Sherrards flew in from Dallas and the Wijaya's (minus Ian who we missed all weekend!) drove up from NYC. We gathered at the Cape for a fun fall weekend of playing, eating and catching up. We had a wonderful time seeing everyone, it's amazing that it's been over a year since we were all together in Evanston and there are now four kids in the mix, but we pick up right where we left off when we get together. Thanks to everyone for making the trip, we're looking forward to our next reunion!
Taking diapers in and out of the box provided hours of entertainment for Hannah and Will.

Harper did a fabulous job on her first plane flight. She's the cutest little peanut and we were so thrilled to finally get to meet her!

Evan was a great traveler on his first long car trip (with just his Mom no less!) and showed us all how much he loves tummy time (he spends hours on his tummy playing!).

Will and Hannah loved eating in their dueling high chairs - and we even managed to find a bib that Will couldn't get off (yet!).

Coasters - who knew they were such a fun toy!?

Fish!

A couple weeks ago we spent a Wednesday afternoon at the New England Aquarium with Molly and Melissa. We had lunch and then spent some time looking in the big tank - the girls thought it was pretty neat for about 20 minutes and then were more interested in each other. It was a fun day though - and we look forward to more adventures w/ the Doyle ladies!

Happy 1st Birthday!

Hannah's first birthday was yesterday. It's hard to believe a year has passed since the day she was born. The time has flown by. But when we looked back at pictures of her in those first few weeks, then watched her playing with her birthday balloons and eating cupcakes yesterday, we realized our infant is suddenly turning into a toddler! For comparison, this is Hannah on day 3 of her life....
And here she is on the morning of her 1st birthday enjoying a pancake breakfast prepared by Dad....
We had a little party for her yesterday afternoon. Family and some close friends came to celebrate and Hannah started the party in a fun party dress complete with "squeaker" shoes compliments of Grandma. Thanks to everyone for making the trip to Needham to help us celebrate Hannah's big day!
She wasn't entirely sure to make of opening presents.... it seemed like playing with Molly would have been more fun than sitting in Mom's lap (and eventually that's what she did!).
All that playing made for a very warm little girl - and those tights were getting really uncomfortable so Hannah switched into her Halloween gear mid-party. She loved having everyone sing Happy Birthday to her - and Auntie Sarah helped her blow out her birthday candles.
At first Hannah wasn't sure she liked cupcakes.....
Molly on the other hand, liked them from the moment one was placed in front of her. And she showed Hannah how you're supposed to eat your first birthday cake (can't wait to see her on her first birthday!)...
Umaree couldn't eat a cupcake yet but she was taking notes for when it's her turn.....
Hannah did eventually warm up to the cupcakes....
And in the end managed to eat/mash/smush 4 cupcakes (we think she probably ate about 1/2 of 1 and put the rest on the floor)!!!!!!
Birthday's are tiring!!!!!! Time for a bath and a nap!

When Mom and Dad are away......

As I mentioned in an earlier post, Wilson and I left Hannah with my parents this past weekend while we flew to Detroit to attend a wedding of a good friend from Kellogg. As you can see... she had a pretty fun time in CT.

Playing with Mia (who was kind enough to share her bed!)....

Talking (or is that yelling?!)....
Giving 'Tickle Me Elmo' (Aunt Allie's old toy) a ride....
Getting all clean for my reunion with Mom and Dad!

Go Red Sox

We copied the Doyle's this evening and tried on Hannah's hats to see what will fit for this winter (quite a few surprisingly!). Luckily she still has one Red Sox hat that fits too - and hopefully we'll have lots more opportunity to wear it these next few weeks. Go Sox!

Giggles and an Early Birthday Present

Grandma's rendition of "Wheels on the Bus" is pretty funny....
Tickle time with Dad....
Hannah spent this past weekend with my parents while Wilson and I were at a wedding in Detroit. They decided to give her an early birthday present, which as you can see from the pictures below she LOVES. Watch out though - she stops for nothing - I'm anticipating some bruised shins in the weeks to come!

Hannah Meets Nora

Last weekend Hannah and I finally made it down to CT to meet Nora Frost. She's just as cute in person as in her pictures and we were so glad we finally got to meet her. She and Hannah were pretty interested in each other - and we had a fun evening seeing Jennie and Bob's house and catching up. We're excited for lots more time together on the beaches in Falmouth watching these girls grow up.
